What PU Prime is and how it describes itself

PU Prime calls itself “a trading name for multiple entities operating across various jurisdictions”. The contracting company, rather than the brand, owes you duties.

The reviewed company claims include “450,000+ Active Clients”, “1000+ Trading Products”, “190+ Countries Serviced” and operation since 2015. These are marketing statements, not independently audited measurements.

The reviewed selector linked 21 language subdomains across puprime.com, puprime.org, puprime.online, puprime.pro and puprime.au, plus helpcenter.puprime.com. Distribution does not establish local authorisation.

Logging in: the client portal and what it is for

The PU Prime login at myaccount.puprime.com/login is the client area. It is not the trading terminal. The Deposit and Withdrawal Policy says deposits and withdrawal instructions can be submitted through the mobile app or client portal.

Withdrawals require full KYC and “return to source”: payment returns through the original route. Third-party payments are not accepted.

Referral reporting and commercial partner access

The withdrawal policy separates processing from receipt: withdrawals are generally processed within 24 hours, with funds arriving in one to seven business days. Bank wire requires at least three to five business days. PU Prime says it charges no withdrawal fee itself; banks and intermediaries may charge separately.

The partner portal and IB programme concern referrals, not your client balance. Use official broker support for account access or payments; this independent guide cannot intervene.

Terms before exposure

Accounts, costs and what 1:1000 leverage means

The four account types and trading platforms have different deposit and pricing structures. “Spread from 0.0” does not mean free trading: Prime and ECN add a commission on each side of a trade.

Base currenciesUSCUSD, GBP, CAD, AUD, EUR, SGD, NZD, HKD, JPY

All four offer a swap-free Islamic variant in the reviewed specifications. The broker’s commission example is unusually useful: on a 0.01-lot Prime trade, $0.035 per side is rounded to $0.04 by MetaTrader’s two-decimal handling. Opening and closing both incur a side charge.

Advertised leverage reaches 1:1000. UK retail major-pair rules instead require 3.33% initial margin (30:1), under COBS 22.5.11R. These describe different regulatory terms.

Educational example · £10,000 exposure
30:1100:1500:11,000:1
Initial margin£333.33
Loss from a 1% adverse move£100Before costs, regardless of chosen leverage.

Initial margin = exposure ÷ leverage. A smaller margin does not reduce exposure. At 1:1000, a 0.1% adverse move equals that initial margin before costs. Execution, gaps and liquidation rules are not modelled here.

That dated distribution was 56% five-star and 38% one-star, with 4%, 1% and 1% elsewhere. It is not a live feed or representative survey.

Before you go further

FAQ

Five questions behind the brand search.

Who owns PU Prime?

PU Prime is a trading name rather than one company. Its own footer calls it “a trading name for multiple entities operating across various jurisdictions” and names seven: two Seychelles entries on FSA licence SD050, a Mauritius entity, a South African one, an Australian one, a UAE one and a Cypriot payments entity, PU Prime (CY) Limited, registration HE414308. The company in your agreement is the relevant counterparty.

Is PU Prime FCA regulated?

PU Prime does not claim FCA authorisation anywhere in its own documents. Its footer, regulation page, legal documentation and client service agreement name the FSA of Seychelles, the FSC of Mauritius, the FSCA, ASIC and the UAE CMA. No FRN, UK entity or UK address appears in the reviewed material. Check a firm and its permissions directly on the FCA Register before making a decision.

Would FSCS cover me if I traded with PU Prime?

FSCS protection depends on authorisation and eligibility. The FSCS states that the PRA or FCA must have authorised the provider and describes investment cover up to £85,000 per person, per firm. PU Prime instead points to The Financial Commission, a private dispute body covering up to €20,000 per case. Its protection excludes trading losses and does not cover all clients in an insolvency.

What does it cost to open an account?

The reviewed account terms start at $20 for Cent, $50 for Standard, $1,000 for Prime and $10,000 for ECN. Standard and Cent have spreads from 1.3 pips and no commission. Prime charges $3.50 per side per lot; ECN charges $1, both with spreads from 0.0. All four have a minimum trade size of 0.01 lots.

Why does PU Prime advertise 1:1000 leverage?

That advertised figure differs from the UK retail framework. COBS 22.5.11R requires at least 3.33% initial margin on major currency pairs, corresponding to a 30:1 cap. COBS 22.5.13R sets margin close-out at 50% of the margin requirement. A global marketing headline does not establish the terms or protections applicable to your own agreement.

The practical conclusion

Know the company.
Then read the contract.

PU Prime’s reviewed disclosures name overseas regulators but claim no FCA authorisation. Read its leverage, dispute scheme and complaint route within the exact account contract.

Match the company and permissions before proceeding. This guide explains documents; it recommends neither an account nor a strategy.
